Helmsman is a graphic front-end and offline mail reader for Second Sight BBSs. This release comes with the files that enable Helmsman to access three Southern California BBSs: Maclectic, The Drawing Board, and Glassell Park. If you don't call any of these BBSs, don't worry - it's still possible to create a BBS file to access virtually any Second Sight BBS.
The complete Helmsman distribution package should include:
Helmsman 1.0
READ ME!
Helmsman 1.0 docs
Maclectic
The Drawing Board
Glassell Park
Helmsman is distibuted as modified shareware: I retain the copyright; Helmsman is NOT public domain.
You may use Helmsman for free. However, I promise NO help or technical support to "free" users.
If you register Helmsman for $5, I will give you support and advice.
If you also include a disk and self-addressed, stamped mailer, I will send you the latest version of Helmsman.
BBS Operators: if you wish me to create a custom BBS file for your BBS, I will do so for $50 and my phone charges if you are long distance. You can save $50 by doing it yourself, or maybe you can cajole a user of your BBS to do it for you!
